Abstract
Suite aux 94 appels à l’action de la Commission de vérité et réconciliation en juin 2015, plusieurs institutions postsecondaires se prononcent publiquement sur leur volonté d’instaurer un cours obligatoire sur les questions autochtones pour tous les étudiants. Dans notre article, nous explorons ce qui est entendu par contenu autochtone. En outre, nous analysons l’approche privilégiée par la Faculté des études autochtones de l’Université de l’Alberta. En effet, plutôt que d’axer la réforme universitaire vers un cours obligatoire, la faculté a privilégié l’accès à un cours en ligne gratuit espérant ainsi démocratiser un contenu qui n’est, hélas, pas toujours accessible à tous. Développé en 2014, The Indigenous Canada Massive Open Online Course (IC-MOOC) représente une alternative pédagogique très attrayante pour les étudiants et connait aujourd’hui un succès sans précédent.
