Abstract
Ceramica San Lorenzo S.A., es una nueva compania en Colombia que fabrica y comercializa pisos y revestimientos ceramicos. Inicio operaciones comerciales en Colombia en 2006 y posteriormente, en 2011, abrio su planta de produccion en Sopo, Cundinamarca -- Con presencia en Argentina, Chile, Peru y Estados Unidos, pese a sus esfuerzos operativos y comerciales, le ha costado mucho trabajo penetrar un mercado que esta liderado por gigantes que no solo fabrican pisos y paredes sino tambien productos para remodelacion de banos y cocinas, como griferias, vajillas, sanitarios, entre otros -- Estos gigantes iniciaron operaciones hace mas de 130 anos y actualmente tienen mas del 70% de la participacion del mercado nacional y una fuerte presencia en Estados Unidos, Canada, Mexico, Brasil, Chile, Venezuela, Centro America, el Caribe, Italia, Espana y el Reino Unido, en tanto que Ceramica San Lorenzo S.A. hace parte del Holding empresarial Etex Group con sede en Bruselas, Belgica, Grupo especialista y lider en produccion y comercializacion de materiales para la construccion a partir del fibrocemento y el yeso, propietario tambien de otras empresas en Colombia -- La situacion comercial y financiera actual de Ceramica San Lorenzo S.A. no es buena, hasta el punto que ha llevado a sus propietarios a plantear la opcion de venderla; en este sentido se hace necesario desarrollar una valoracion economica con el fin de ofrecer a la empresa un primer ejercicio de valoracion, asi como un precio base de negociacion
