Abstract
Le département des Arts du spectacle de la Bibliothèque nationale de France conserve une très riche collection de documents sonores, généralement liée aux archives des créateurs et des théâtres. L’histoire de leur entrée progressive dans les collections à partir des années 1950 amène naturellement à se questionner sur la nature de ces collections et sur la diversité de leurs supports et de leurs contenus. Longtemps difficiles d’accès, ces documents sont devenus audibles grâce à la numérisation. Cette révolution technologique ouvre de nouveaux horizons pour le monde de la recherche et plus largement pour tous ceux que le patrimoine sonore du spectacle intéresse.
