Abstract

Dans le présent article, après un rappel du contexte québécois de l’immigration et des formations à l’interculturel, nous présentons les objectifs et l’historique des jumelages interculturels, le cadre de référence, les aspects méthodologiques et la discussion sur les retombées des jumelages, lesquels initient des rencontres entre des étudiants immigrants qui apprennent le français langue seconde (FLS) à l’École de langues et des francophones inscrits dans différents programmes de formation à l’enseignement à l’UQAM. Les résultats de cette expérience montrent que ces jumelages développent les compétences de communication interculturelle des deux groupes en présence et qu’ils contribuent à nourrir la réflexion sur l’éthique du rapport à l’autre en éducation et en formation, plus spécifiquement à l’intégration harmonieuse des personnes immigrantes en contexte universitaire.
