Abstract
L’étude de l’American Index of the Hidden and Unfamiliar de l’artiste Taryn Simon expose des problèmes méthodologiques et conceptuels découlant de l’usage de la post-photographie comme seul paradigme pour analyser l’image photographique actuelle. Il propose la philosophie de la technique, en particulier les théories de Heidegger sur la technologie, comme champs d’étude permettant de réinvestir le terme « photographie » et de réfléchir les liens entre la photographie des XIXe et XXe siècles et celle actuellement produite.
