Abstract
À sa naissance, le bébé déposé sur le ventre de sa mère, peau à peau, va doucement remonter vers les seins. Il les palpera quelques instants de la main et prendra sa première tétée. Dans ces instants précieux, il apparaît que la maman va libérer massivement de l’ocytocine, une hormone aux propriétés essentielles pour asseoir le lien d’attachement mère-enfant. Cette hormone va, par la suite, jouer un rôle primordial dans la qualité des relations affectives ainsi que dans l’équilibrage de plusieurs systèmes de régulation, dont la boucle de stress et l’immunité. Par ailleurs, les neurosciences affectives montrent comment les amygdales vont déclencher la réponse au stress, mais également comment le processus de réassurance peut utiliser les sensations – notamment, celles de la peau – pour calmer leur activité et tempérer l’excès d’émotion à travers le système polyvagal qui, toute la vie, favorise la disponibilité à la relation affective sereine.
