emprendi un proyecto de reivindicacin que lo llev a construir su propia identidad a travs de un discurso en que se presenta a s mismo como el elemento transformador de la sociedad en la que vive. La construccin de su identidad pas por el mbito lingstico, su postura respecto a sus particularidades lingsticas provoc desavenencias con otros grupos, las cuales se plasmaron en una polmica publicada en uno de los peridicos ms importantes de la poca, el Diario de Mxico.
