Falar de conservação do Cerrado desconsiderando a interação humana com o Bioma é algo descartável. À medida que as famílias começam a trabalhar com frutos e gerar renda, elas também passam a cuidar melhor da vegetação. O extrativismo é imprescindível para a manutenção da savana, um importante instrumento para se trabalhar o uso de recursos naturais como estratégia de conservação. Hoje, a maior parte das áreas conservadas deste Bioma abriga comunidades tradicionais. Manter esses povos em suas terras é manter vivo o Cerrado. Esse artigo é sobre o documento e a divulgação da resistência desta população.
