Abstract
I. Introduction La circoncision est pratiquée au Canada chez une proportion importante de nouveau-nés, pour des motifs divers : esthétiques, d’hygiène, de routine ou, plus rarement, rituels. En 2006-2007, 31,9 % des bébés de sexe masculin avaient été circoncis au Canada. La pratique est plus fréquente dans certaines provinces - comme en Ontario ou en Alberta, où elle se situe à 44 % - que dans d’autres, comme au Québec où elle représente 12 %.
