Abstract
A violência contra a mulher é um fenômeno complexo, multifacetado que requer ações interdisciplinares, pois atinge os aspectos biopsicossociais da vítima (ACOSTA; GOMES; BARLEM, 2013). Destarte, as agressões perpetradas contra a mulher deixam múltiplas cicatrizes no corpo e na alma, e sua constância rouba a esperança de mudança, pelo próprio receio que a mulher carrega de, a qualquer momento, o ato culminar na sua morte e/ou na destruição da sua família. (LABROCINI, 2012).O Brasil lança estratégias para combater a violência, isto é, ações afirmativas que produzem medidas especiais para atender as necessidades desse grupo na sociedade. Observa-se a criação de secretarias especiais para mulher, formulação de políticas, como o pacto nacional de enfrentamento à violência contra as mulheres, além de uma lei específica para a questão da violência doméstica perpetrada contra a mulher, no caso, a Lei nº 11.340/2006 (conhecida por Lei Maria da Penha).Diante do exposto, percebe-se que a questão da violência contra mulher é um problema biopsicossocial necessitando de ações de cunho legal em conjunto com outros serviços. Assim, com base no projeto de pesquisa „Uma análise sobre as causas da violência doméstica e familiar contra a mulher a lume dos processos judiciais da comarca de Feira de Santana – Bahia, entre o período de 2010/2013‟, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo caracterizar os envolvidos na violência doméstica e familiar contra a mulher, ou seja, a mulher e o agressor, segundo variáveis sociodemográficas.
