Abstract
Esse artigo traz os primeiros resultados de uma pesquisa de pós-doutorado realizado durante seis meses na cidade de Montreal, no Canadá, na McGill University, cujo foco principal é perceber a música como instrumento de inclusão de imigrantes. Nesse trabalho observamos o funcionamento dos festivais como parte do circuito para a circulação desses artistas com o objetivo de difundir sua arte criando um networkingcom produtores, empresários e jornalistas. Tentamos nesse texto trabalhar com a noção de cena musical (STRAW, 2005) em diálogo com cosmopolitismo estético (REGEV, 2013), pensando a música como a ferramenta midiática fundamental para a compreensão dos processos sociais contemporâneos nos espaços urbanos.
