Abstract
Dans la nouvelle à la première personne intitulée Was bleibt, la narratrice, en quête d’elle-même, d’une nouvelle langue, d’une parole enfin libérée, communique tantôt avec elle-même par des dialogues intérieurs, tantôt avec ses proches par téléphone. Les marques de discours rapporté observés dans ces échanges, à mi-chemin entre discours direct et indirect, relèvent d’une utilisation non conventionnelle, hybride, de ce type de structure. L’article s’attache à décrire ces formes très particulières, non répertoriées dans les grammaires de l’allemand, tout en soulignant leur valeur esthétique et littéraire.
