Abstract
Dans le cadre d’un recrutement massifié et d’une politique de contractualisation généralisée mise en œuvre à la suite de la professionnalisation des armées à partir de 1996, l’institution militaire a constitué la question de la « fidélisation » de ses engagés volontaires en défi de première importance. Pour s’assurer de conserver dans ses rangs ses personnels les moins gradés, elle a redéfini ses modalités de formation autour d’un modèle pédagogique d’instruction, à même de prendre en compte leur hétérogénéité, en valorisant un apprentissage progressif et peu coercitif. La création de centres de formation ad hoc , ainsi que la conjugaison d’une emprise totale et d’un travail de différenciation des recrues sont par ailleurs des composantes essentielles de ce nouveau dispositif de formation.
