Cette thèse examine les avantages des micro-réseaux avec un contrôle décentralisé à base d'agents par rapport à un système de commande centralisé. Premièrement, on propose plusieurs approches décentralisées à base d'agents pour la gestion de puissance active d'un micro-réseau isolé avec un objectif global de réduire au minimum le coût sous contraintes de ressources individuelles.Dans une approche de contrôle décentralisée, la thèse propose que les ressources utilisent les communications poste à poste pour signaler d’une façon asynchrone la nécessité de modifier la production des générateurs en réponse aux déséquilibres de génération-charge. Les ressources utilisent également le réseau de communication poste à poste pour effectuer les calculs de répartition de la puissance active sans un contrôle central. Il s'agit d'une solution intéressante et extensible pour le problème de répartition d’un micro-réseau, qui combine la flexibilité dans d’une installation poste à poste et qui nécessite des communications et calculs minimaux. Ensuite, la thèse valide l'efficacité de cette approche de répartition décentralisée sur un modèle simplifié d’un réseau de distribution rural d'Hydro-Québec opéré en micro-réseau, où les générateurs distribués sont raccordés à des nœuds spécifiques.Dans le cas où la communication poste à poste est structurée, les résultats montrent qu'une approche décentralisée est rapide et précise. Elle est extensible à d'autres applications de plus grandes tailles, comme la répartition des centrales électriques virtuelles. On considère aussi l’effet des pertes dans de réseau de distribution. Par rapport à un répartiteur central, les résultats montrent que la répartition asynchrone des ressources atteint un résultat similaire sinon supérieur à la répartition classique cyclique en ce qui concerne la réduction des coûts globaux d'opération. Ce résultant est une conséquence du fait que les ajustements des consignes de production sont ajustés de manière continuelle afin de mieux suivre la production d’énergie renouvelable.
