Abstract
Le présent article décrit une étude de cas basée sur une télécollaboration entre deux groupes d'étudiants de français langue seconde/étrangère. En nous inspirant du concept d'étayage et de la théorie de l'activité, nous cherchons à voir si des activités de travail collaboratif peuvent contribuer au développement de la conscience métacognitive. Nous présentons ici les résultats de recherche obtenus par la collecte de données à l'université canadienne où les apprenants avaient pour tâche d'aider leurs pairs brésiliens à corriger leurs textes écrits en leur proposant des améliorations d'ordre linguistique. L'activité de télécollaboration sur laquelle porte le présent article s'est faite par le biais d'une visioconférence de poste à poste. Notre analyse nous permet, dans un premier temps, de repérer plusieurs stratégies spécifiques d'étayage chez les étudiants canadiens et de proposer des recommandations pour la conception de dispositifs de télécollaboration visant l'amélioration des compétences de production écrite.
