Abstract
Ce volume est issu de deux colloques organises par la FISIER a Montreal et Cambridge. Cet ouvrage a pour cœur les bibliotheques d’ecrivains (Rabelais, Montaigne, de Thou, Aldrovandi). Les approches de la genetique textuelle et de la « forme » bibliotheque (contenu et contenant) se conjuguent pour etudier sur le vif le jaillissement creatif. Plusieurs etudes sur les bibliotheques encyclopediques decrivent la circulation des livres, l’impact de la censure et leur role de diffuseur clturel. Des textes sur les bibliotheques publiques au XVIIe siecle, l’architecture des bibliotheques italiennes (de Petrarque a Bembo) et la reconstitution de bibliotheques dispersees ou disparues de Rasse des Noeux, Etienne Pasquier, Philippe Desportes, Simone Porzio et Benedetto Varchi, permettent une reflexion sur le developpement des bibliotheques de demain, et sur la renaissance de bibliotheques detruites (Turin, 1904).
