Abstract
The Archaeological Museum of Tetouan is one of the main institutions of the Moroccan Archaeology; a leading institution in the management of the Archaeological Heritage in Morocco, the Museum has almost a Century of age since its creation in the first quarter of the Twentieth Century. July 1940 has been considered as the inaugural moment of the Museum, something we know is wrong since it only corresponds to the inauguration of the Museum headquarters located in Ben Hossain Street. The Archaeological Museum of Tetuan has existed since 1923, when it was inaugurated for the first time, being reinaugurated in 1926, and having new facilities inaugurated in 1931, on Mohamed Torres Street, all of this prior to the settlement of the institution in the facilities of Ben Hossain finally in 1940, with Pelayo Quintero Atauri as its director. And we will try to take care of this evolution in these following paragraphs.
