Les auteurs proposent de mettre en parallèle les différences et les ressemblances entre deux études qualitatives menées en France et au Québec sur la question des processus décisionnels touchant la localisation résidentielle dans les familles où les deux conjoints exercent une activité professionnelle. Cette confrontation mettra l’accent sur l’influence de la position dans le cycle de vie en comparant des couples en période de transition vers le rôle parental (enquête française) et des couples dont le projet familial est pratiquement complété (enquête québécoise).
