Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Divergent reactivity at square planar rhodium(I) provided a route to rhodium silylene complexes derived from common hydrosilanes. The cyclooctene species (lower left) undergoes facile Si−H oxidative addition to afford rhodium silyl hydride complexes. Conversely, upon exposure to PhSiH3 or Ph2SiH2, the rhodium monocarbonyl (upper left) promotes silylene extrusion with loss of H2. Rhodium silylenes are key intermediates in the catalytic hydrosilation of ketones and have been of interest for decades; however, they have, until now, eluded structural characterization. Thus, these robust rhodium silylenes bridge the divide between catalytically relevant species and silylenes of other metals prepared by well-established stoichiometric processes. The High Level Bridge, a landmark in the authors’ community of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada is depicted, and symbolizes the ongoing journey to develop new chemical reactions mediated by transition metal silylenes. For more details see the Communication by C. S. MacNeil and P. G. Hayes on page 8203 ff.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
