Abstract
During a recent visit to Quebec City in Canada to attend the International Farm Management Association's (IFMA) conference, it was very interesting to learn about the Canadian supply management system used in the country's milk, egg and chicken industries. A total of 13 delegates from the University of the Free State's Department of Agricultural Economics attended the conference, where 15 approved articles were presented. Forming part of the conference, two days of excursions to various farms and agricultural divisions were organised.
