Cette contribution analyse un dispositif de formation universitaire en didactique du français au primaire conçu sous la forme d’un portfolio numérique et dans lequel l’imagination est appelée à jouer un rôle important. Dans une perspective exploratoire, des travaux de futurs enseignants intégrés dans un portfolio numérique (N =39) réalisés dans une université québécoise sont analysés. Les fondements théoriques comprennent le sujet comme étant socioculturellement situé et pour lequel le contexte d’activités régulées et de pratiques normées constitue une action didactique (Brousseau, 1998) sédimentée par la société (Giddens 1984/1987 ; Archer 1998), actualisée par les pratiques et institutionnalisée comme référence dans le temps. Les conclusions de l’analyse de contenu des travaux (de Bonville, 2006) permettent de formuler des hypothèses sur les relations unissant l’évolution du sujet avec celle du rôle d’enseignant. Plus précisément, concernant la dynamique instaurée par ce dispositif et le rapport au savoir pour a) la dimension linguistique et culturelle de la tâche intellectuelle et b) la dimension professionnelle, amorçant une rupture avec les pratiques transmissives.
