Abstract
Résumé La recherche de leurs origines par les adoptés internationaux ouvre un nouvel espace d’élaboration des questions relatives à l’identité, à l’appartenance et à la parenté soulevées par l’adoption. Dans cet article, nous voulons contribuer à l’approche de ces questions, en prenant appui sur des entrevues réalisées en 2003 et 2004 auprès de jeunes Québécois adoptés à l’étranger. Leurs témoignages soulignent le sentiment d’être étranger à eux-mêmes qui stimule leur intérêt pour leurs origines. Ils proposent aussi une vision nuancée des retrouvailles internationales, lesquelles peuvent faciliter la construction de leur propre récit de leur histoire par ces jeunes.
