Abstract
Si le métissage franco-japonais offre une certaine originalité, peu d’études s’intéressent à ce phénomène qui concerne pourtant une population de plus en plus importante en France. L’aspect exclusif de la culture japonaise, le vécu positif par l’ensemble des sujets de leur métissage et la reconnaissance par les tiers d’une affiliation positive à la culture étrangère, apparaissent comme les premiers éléments originaux de ce métissage. L’analyse phénoménologique (IPA) d’entretiens auprès d’un groupe de sujets ayant grandi en France, de mère japonaise et de père français, met en lumière des aspects de la construction identitaire. L’étude s’intéresse au rôle du parent étranger, aux difficultés des métis à saisir et à traiter les questions d’ordre identitaire, mais aussi à l’émergence d’une personnalité complexe.
