Abstract

Las capacidades que se desarrollan y su interacción son claves para comprender el desempeño de las organizaciones, especialmente en contextos dinámicos, en los que sostener ventajas competitivas es complicado. A partir de esta afirmación habitual en la literatura sobre el tema, el objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la relación entre la orientación al mercado, la orientación emprendedora, y las capacidades dinámicas en pequeñas y medianas empresas que operan en el mercado latinoamericano. El enfoque es cuantitativo, con diseño no experimental transeccional, y alcance exploratorio. El método consiste en un muestreo aleatorio de 330 empresas que respondieron un cuestionario para encuesta. Los datos se analizan mediante la estadística descriptiva y la correlación de variables. Entre los principales resultados destaca que el entorno no es evaluado como dinámico por los empresarios, y que existe relación entre las variables estudiadas: orientación emprendedora, orientación al mercado, capacidades dinámicas y desempeño.
