Abstract
La littérature s’accorde à reconnaître la criticité de la dimension humaine des opérations de reprise, notamment pendant la période suivant l’entrée en fonction du nouveau dirigeant. Celle-ci est marquée par le transfert de leadership du cédant au repreneur et représente une source de perturbations pour les salariés. À ce stade du processus de reprise, le besoin de légitimité pour le repreneur est maximal, car celle-ci garantit l’efficacité de son pouvoir (Boussaguet, 2012) et contribue à l’adhésion collective des membres de la petite entreprise reprise (De Freyman, Cullière et Boussaguet, 2018). Or, les travaux sur cette thématique demeurent rares et leur analyse ne permet pas de comprendre comment cette légitimité s’acquiert auprès des salariés. L’objectif de cet article consiste donc à contribuer à la connaissance sur les moyens à disposition du repreneur pour construire sa légitimité. En se fondant sur neuf études de cas de petites entreprises engagées dans la RSE, les résultats obtenus proposent la démarche RSE du repreneur comme une posture managériale favorisant sa légitimation auprès de ses salariés. Les pratiques managériales du repreneur sont alors orientées vers plus d’équité et lui offrent l’occasion de construire un projet de reprise autour d’un ensemble de valeurs appréciées par les salariés.
