Abstract
De nombreuses études ont montré que les activités ou les professions sont stéréotypiquement associées au genre. L’objet du présent article est de décrire l’image d’une profession artistique, celle du magicien de spectacle, à partir de l’analyse d’un matériel verbal et iconique tiré d’Internet. Cette étude qualitative montre que la profession de magicien est toujours présentée comme très nettement genrée, en l’occurrence massivement masculine. Des pistes de recherche sont suggérées, notamment en ce qui concerne la structure et la valeur du stéréotype.
