Les professionnels de l’information, dans la diversité de leurs profils académiques et professionnels (archivistes, gestionnaires de documents, techniciens en documentation, bibliothécaires, veilleurs, etc.) sont des acteurs responsables de la gestion de l’information dans la diversité de ses supports afin d’en renforcer la valeur dans la prise de décision, que ce soit dans le domaine administratif, économique ou encore socioculturel. Avec les mutations continues que la société subit, ces professionnels ont besoin d’une instance qui veille à leur visibilité et contribue au rayonnement des métiers en sciences de l’information. C’est le rôle rempli par les associations professionnelles. Le présent article brosse un bref portrait du regroupement professionnel en sciences de l’information au Maroc, soit l’Association nationale des informatistes.
