Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The current realization of the International Celestial Reference Frame (ICRF)\ncomprises a total of 717 extragalactic radio sources distributed over the\nentire sky. An observing program has been developed to densify the ICRF in the\nnorthern sky using the European VLBI network (EVN) and other radio telescopes\nin Spitsbergen, Canada and USA. Altogether, 150 new sources selected from the\nJodrell Bank-VLA Astrometric Survey were observed during three such EVN+\nexperiments conducted in 2000, 2002 and 2003. The sources were selected on the\nbasis of their sky location in order to fill the "empty" regions of the frame.\nA secondary criterion was based on source compactness to limit structural\neffects in the astrometric measurements. All 150 new sources have been\nsuccessfully detected and the precision of the estimated coordinates in right\nascension and declination is better than 1 milliarcsecond (mas) for most of\nthem. A comparison with the astrometric positions from the Very Long baseline\nArray Calibrator Survey for 129 common sources indicates agreement within 2 mas\nfor 80% of the sources.\n

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
