Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Drawing on the literature on drinking and aggression in intimate relationships, this study examined [1] the association between the volume of alcohol consumed at work and workplace aggression, and [2] the extent to which this relationship varied as function of the combined impact of one’s love of their job and/or job security. Three hundred twenty five working adults (166 men; 159 women) provided data at two time points. Findings confirmed a substantial positive correlation between alcohol consumption at work and workplace aggression. Moreover, our findings confirmed that this relationship varied as a function of the combined impact of job insecurity and love of job such that the relationship between drinking and aggression would be exacerbated under conditions of love and perceived threat of relationship loss. Findings are discussed in terms of the theoretical and practical implications of drinking at work on the disinhibition of aggression, and the parallels between perceptions of interpersonal relationships and job-focused relationship perceptions.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
