Abstract
Using kairos as an analytic lens, this paper examinesthe debate around ACRL’s Framework for InformationLiteracy as action married to time. Rather thanleading librarians inexorably to the true meaning ofinformation literacy, kairos surfaces a discourse of theexceptional present as productive instead of theprofession itself.Cette étude s’appuie sur la notion de kairos commeangle d’analyse pour examiner le débat autour de laproposition de l’ACRL concernant la compétenceinformationnelle comme action mariée au temps.
