Saving Nurses and Allied Health Professionals’ Time – How Health Sciences Librarians Anticipate and Support Interdisciplinary

Abstract
Health science librarians (HSLs) support healthcarepractitioners through a number of services, includingliterature searching services. Using phone interviewsof 22 HSLs from across Canada, through this researchI show that beyond saving healthcare practitionerstime, HSLs are creative practitioners who anticipatethe research and practice needs of their users.Les bibliothécaires en sciences de la santé (BSS)assurent un soutien aux praticiens de la santé par uncertain nombre de services, y compris des services derecherche de documentation.
