Abstract

Depuis le début des années 90, les mouvements de justice environnementale ont démontré que l’environnement est une source d’injustice, qui vient se cumuler aux inégalités existantes. Les approches théoriques et pratiques de la justice environnementale ont contribué à reconnaître cette nouvelle forme d’injustice. Des outils de réparation et des procédures réglementaires et participatives ont été élaborés pour apporter des réponses aux victimes des inégalités environnementales. Ces instruments semblent toutefois insuffisants pour les appliquer aux conséquences de la crise écologique. Nous présenterons les limites théoriques et pratiques de la justice distributive dans un monde fini, telles qu’elles ont été présentées par la green political theory, et en appui de l’éthique environnementale écocentrée. Nous pourrons ainsi questionner les enjeux ontologiques et épistémiques qu’offre une justice écologique dans une pensée politique. Nous soulignerons enfin l’apport de l’expérience sensible et matérielle à la nature pour appréhender une justice dans un monde fini.
