Le cadre de la Prospérité éducative évalue la progression vers le développement durable en adoptant une approche dite « du parcours de vie » fondée sur l’équité et centrée sur la nature précoce et cumulative de la réussite des enfants pour guider le déploiement efficace des ressources afin de soutenir l’enseignement et l’apprentissage. Les outils d’enseignement et d’évaluation du programme « Confident Learners » (apprenants confiants) intègrent la Prospérité éducative et se focalisent sur les progrès des enfants « sur le chemin de la réussite en littératie ». L’acquisition de la lecture dépend de compétences de décodage et langagières. Les enseignants font évoluer leur rôle, passant de l’enseignement d’un curriculum conçu autour de l’année scolaire à l’enseignement des savoir-faire spécifiques dont les enfants ont besoin pour améliorer leurs compétences en littératie. Ils bénéficient d’une formation professionnelle continue dispensée par un référent en littératie et par la communauté scolaire et sociale au sens large.
