Ground time-domain electromagnetic (TDEM) data were collected on the adjacent West McArthur and Read Lake uranium exploration projects, located within the Athabasca Basin in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. Three independent stepwise moving loop surveys were combined and inverted in three dimensions (3D) to produce a camp-scale conductivity model, interpreted to represent the C10 conductive corridor. Several steps were required in order to merge the datasets prior to inversion, including coordinate and data transformations, removal of spurious data points, assignment of uncertainties, and waveform optimization. The inversion results correlate well with both airborne and borehole geophysical data, as well as geological information from drilling. Inversion of TDEM data in 3D provides a valuable product to help with both interpretation and targeting of graphitic conductors when exploring for uranium mineralization in the Athabasca Basin.
