La réussite académique des étudiants universitaires en situation de handicap : une étude de suivi de cohortes

Abstract
L’objectif de cette analyse longitudinale de suivi de cohortes est d’explorer la réussite académique des étudiants en situation de handicap de l’Université Laval en la comparant à celle des autres étudiants. Les résultats obtenus indiquent que le taux de diplomation moyen est inférieur chez les étudiants en situation de handicap en comparaison de celui des autres étudiants, mais que cette différence n’excède pas 12 points de pourcentage (48 % vs 60 %). La durée des parcours chez les diplômés en situation de handicap est également plus longue de 1,5 session en moyenne. Cette persévérance contribue à réduire la différence qui existe entre leur taux de diplomation et celui des autres étudiants. Les taux d’absentéisme au sein des programmes entrepris par les étudiants en situation de handicap sont comparables à ceux des autres étudiants au cours des trois premières années des cursus.
