Abstract
SGLT2阻害薬カナグリフロジンを用いたCANVASプログラムが報告された。世界30ヵ国で行われた本研究において，カナグリフロジンは有意に心血管イベントの発症，心不全による入院や心血管死を抑制し，腎臓合併症の進展も抑制した。懸念されるべき副作用として下肢切断や骨折が増えている点が挙げられる。先に行われたEMPAREGOUTCOME®や，後に行われたDECLARE-TIMI 58と共通している点は，心不全による入院の抑制と心血管死の抑制であり，心血管病変の段階の違いこそあれSGLT2阻害薬のクラス・エフェクトといえる。一方，最近のメタ解析の結果で，カナグリフロジンががんを抑制する可能性も報告されており興味深い。
