Abstract

The paper introduces a two-stage approach for ECG based biometric identification, using signals acquired on fingers. A 2D/3D phase-space representation of the original raw data is first computed, followed by an image oriented classification step using convolutional neural networks. Experimental results reveal that the corresponding identification performances are in line with existing results, while the off-person acquisition setup makes the proposed approach suitable for wearable/mobile applications.
