Février 2010 L’ancienne province du Huizhou, enclave montagneuse du Sud de l’Anhui, toute proche des Montagnes jaunes (Huangshan), est composée de six districts – Xiuning, Qimen, Shexian, Yixian, Jixi et Wuyuan –, et d’une ville, Tunxi. Elle est arrosée par la rivière Xin’an, une artère fluviale très tôt navigable qui permit aux habitants du Huizhou de s’enrichir dans le commerce et de développer une culture raffinée en pleine campagne.
