Abstract
Dans le contexte agité de la Révolution tranquille et du renouveau conciliaire, les chrétiens de gauche de la revue Maintenant ont conçu une forme particulière de sensibilité religieuse intégraliste. Ils confèrent, en effet, à la foi chrétienne des incidences élargies, voire totalisantes qui excèdent les seules questions privées et ultimes, mais sans l’assortir de bases institutionnelles typiques d’une chrétienté. Ainsi, partisans d’un intégralisme minimal, ils se dissocient à la fois de la variante maximale de l’intégralisme et de la conception marginaliste du religieux. De la première, ils rejettent principalement l’idéal de chrétienté ; et de la seconde, ils refusent la réduction de la foi chrétienne aux seules questions intimes et ultimes, car, selon eux, elle ne saurait être sans incidences en matière sociopolitique.
