Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui dan menganalisis pandangan Pegawai Pencatat Nikah pada Kantor Urusan Agama di Kota Gorontalo terhadap pencatatan perkawinan di bawah umur. Penelitin ini merupakan penelitian lapangan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan hukum dan pendekatan sosiologis. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengamatan, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya diolah dan dianalisis dengan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Pertama, tingkat perkawinan di bawah umur pada wilayah KUA di Kota Gorontalo meningkat tiap tahunnya sejak 2016 sampai 2018. Berbagai alasan dikemukakan para pihak, baik calon pengantin maupun keluarga untuk dapat melaksanakan perkawinan di bawah umur; Kedua, pada prinsipnya para Pegawai Pencatat Nikah di Kota Gorontalo memahami dan melaksanakan aturan pencatatan nikah berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Agama Nomor 19 Tahun 2018 tentang Pencatatan Perkawinan.
