Abstract
This paper presents a sensor antenna for dielectric constant measurement of materials in direct contact with the structure while the radiation characteristics of the antenna are not degraded. This is achieved by parasitically loading the antenna while the samples are placed on the parasitic element. The dielectric constant measurement range is studied and the equivalent circuit of the antenna is proposed. The agreement between the simulation and measurement proves the practicality of the proposed system.
