Abstract
Après plusieurs années de collaboration entre la communauté innue d’Ekuanitshit (Mingan) et l’auteur, celui-ci présente ici le processus de mise en place du Programme de recherches archéologiques d’Ekuanitshit. Présenté sous la forme d’une étude de cas, ce texte aborde les motivations de l’auteur ainsi que des principaux acteurs de la communauté qui ont permis la mise en place de ce projet. À travers la présentation de quelques chantiers menés par l’équipe, cet article tente de mettre en lumière la valeur ajoutée de cette démarche collaborative en archéologie nord-côtière. Si cette présentation n’a pas la prétention de constituer une marche à suivre, elle relate de façon détaillée l’expérience personnelle d’un jeune chercheur dans ce contexte. Il est à souhaiter que ce texte, qui prend par moments l’allure d’un journal de bord, pourra contribuer à montrer la pertinence de ce type d’approche en archéologie et à promouvoir leur développement.
