Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

An anthropological approach to the study of ethics and morality is concerned with the ethical dimensions of human life more broadly and not limited to the study of religion. While some anthropologists find that marking a difference between morality and ethics is useful, many see these concepts as interconnected and interchangeable in practice. The study of morality and ethics brings together principles governing action that are other regarding, such as legality, rules, and obligations, with convictions that are self‐regarding, such as personal dispositions, feelings, and preferences. An anthropological approach to ethics involves taking into account the fact that religious life is never fully consistent with any one theological or philosophical logic, that it does not provide a complete answer to the complexities of life and its nonhuman elements, and that people regularly ask questions pertaining to the application of specific values, rules, and content.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
