Desde hace algun tiempo venimos insistiendo en la utilidad que para el psi quiatra encierra el estudio del folklore del pueblo en cuyo seno desenvuelve sus actividades, y nuestro enfasis en este aspecto de la Psicologia Social es a su vez el resultado de la aceptacion del valor e importancia de los factores culturales en Psiquiatria y en Psicologia. Esto ya se ha senalado per algunos autores y no son pocos los que han orientado sus investigaciones en tal sentido, ofreciendonos brillantes aportaciones que en mucho sabemos estimar, pero a pesar de ello consideramos que no ha llegado a calar con la hondura que deseamos en el seno de la gran masa de psiquiatras: de ahi nuestra insistencia en una serie de Congresos. En Zuricli, 1957, en el II Congreso Mundial de Psiquiatria; en Mexico, 1958, en el V Con-greso Interamericano de Psicologia; en La Habana, 1960, en el II Congreso Nacional de Psiquiatria y ahora en este de Montreal, en 1961, el III Congreso Mundial de Psiquiatria.
