Abstract
No presente texto debatemos a construção mítica de celebridades pós-modernas, compreendendo-a como produto da troca simbólica de um tempo. Para construção deste estudo, recorremos a análises teóricas sobre pós-modernidade, mitos e celebridades de modo a perceber a interrelação que se estabelece entre o universo sígnico e o tempo histórico. A partir disso, notamos que celebridades pós-modernas expressam uma forte carga valorativa associada ao tempo atual, fato aqui analisado, não pelo prisma economicista, mas pelas múltiplas possibilidades de existência num tempo marcado pela ambiguidade.
