Abstract
Le sacrifice animal constitue l’un des rituels courants dans plusieurs contextes socioculturels, en particulier dans les religions antiques, tel le culte sacrificiel biblique (korban) disparu avec la destruction du Second Temple et remplacé par la prière. Néanmoins, les discours religieux autour de cette pratique se sont poursuivis depuis l’Antiquité avec des commentaires et des prises de position quant à la restauration de ces rituels avec la reconstruction éventuelle du Troisième Temple de Jérusalem. À partir de l’analyse de divers textes duxixesiècle et contemporains (articles de revues, ouvrages religieux, transcriptions de sermons, blogues), cet article dégage les constructions du sacrifice et ses interprétations passées et actuelles, les positions divergentes sur la restauration complète ou partielle ou sur l’annulation de ce rituel et les types d’arguments associés à chacune d’entre elles.
