Oportunidades comerciales de exportación de quinua a mercados canadienses

Abstract
El presente documento se basa en un analisis de las diferentes oportunidades comerciales para la introduccion de Quinua (Chenopodium quinoa) al mercado Canadiense, teniendo en cuenta la disposicion en los canales de distribucion internacional y los diversos tratados de libre comercio establecidos entre Colombia y Canada, para obtener mayor competitividad en el pais. En este sentido, estudios como los de la FAO, indican que, los cultivos Colombianos en los departamentos de Cundinamarca, Boyaca, Cauca y Narino han ido aumentando rapidamente, lo cual refleja un crecimiento para la exportacion, principalmente a Canada, pais elegido como destino, ya que es un mercado estrategico para la venta de quinua, debido a que su poblacion se inclina por el consumo de alimentos organicos y con alto contenido nutricional. Por consiguiente, Canada es un mercado de interes ya que puede dinamizar y fortalecer las diferentes actividades de la economia colombiana, al tiempo que ofrece oportunidades adicionales en materia laboral, tecnologica y de intercambio de conocimiento.
