O presente artigo visa promover uma saudável polêmica e desconstruiro modelo hegemônico vigente de “produção” e “impacto” do conhecimentoque não interessa às nações menos desenvolvidas e privilegia apublicação compulsória em periódicos estrangeiros. O primeiro ponto é umacrítica à adoção reducionista de critérios bibliométricos como forma de classificaçãode revistas, seguida de outros aspectos crítico-reflexivos relacionadosao Sistema Qualis-Capes. Além de uma discussão crítica, pautada emconhecimento científico e filosófico, o presente artigo traz sugestões para aconstrução genuína do conhecimento e desconstrução do colonialismo científicovigente.
