Abstract
L’édition 2019 des Indicateurs des maladies chroniques au Canada (IMCC) fournit les estimations les plus récentes du fardeau des maladies chroniques au Canada ainsi que des mesures de la santé générale et des déterminants connexes de la santé. À l’aide des données des IMCC et de l’Enquête sur la santé dans les collectivités canadiennes de 2017, nous avons examiné le lien entre les facteurs sociodémographiques et la santé mentale auto-déclarée. D’après nos résultats, sont associés de façon significative à une très bonne santé mentale auto-déclarée le sexe (hommes par rapport aux femmes : rapport de cotes ajusté [RCA] = 1,22), l’âge (groupe d’âge des 65 à 79 ans par rapport à celui des 35 à 49 ans : RCA = 1,48), les études (diplôme d’études postsecondaires par rapport à l’absence de diplôme d’études secondaires : RCA = 1,68), la suffisance du revenu du ménage (quintile le plus élevé [Q5] par rapport au quintile le plus faible [Q1] : RCA = 2,25) et le statut vis-à-vis de l’immigration (immigrants récents par rapport aux non-immigrants : RCA = 2,29).
