Abstract
Dans l’oeuvre de Patrice Desbiens, les figures de l’approximation, tels la comparaison et le pronom indéfini « on », de même que la remise en question des structures du capital, renvoient à la précarité dynamique du sujet lyrique et permettent d’identifier ses modes de survie, assez souvent ironiques, parmi la panoplie toujours changeante de ses identités. Comme l’étude de certains recueils le démontre, la minorisation est en effet moins politique qu’économique, moins institutionnelle que symbolique. Chez cet écrivain, l’itinérance et une forte disjonction socioéconomique relèvent justement de l’indécidabilité de l’appartenance identitaire du sujet franco-ontarien, dans le contexte d’une société marchande, impuissante à donner sens et cohésion à la vie collective.
